The Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) in Abu Dhabi organised an exhibition called “The story of Islamic Embroidery in Nomadic and Urban Tradition”. It was held in Gallery One, Emirates Palace, as the region’s first comprehensive exhibition of Islamic embroidery and included more then 200 rare textiles from the 17th to the 20th century. The exhibition was designed by Colin Morris Associates.
We had to deliver our application simultaneously for a 65” full HD multi-touch table attached to a projector and for six smaller sized touch screen kiosks.
TDIC requested that visitors should be able to use the table from both sides. To ensure perfect synchronicity between the table and the projection we developed separate applications. This was made possible by network communication between the computers driving each medium hence ensuring correct image alignment on both the projection and the touch-table projector regardless of the user’s position.
